Merops Conference Centre got its name from the lovely bird, the White Fronted Bee Eater or Merops bullockoides, one of the birds that often visits this 4 ha piece of land against the Bronberg, 16 km East of Pretoria.

Merops Conference Centre consists of a spread of thatched complexes and individual buildings, built from natural rock and wood and has a real down to earth feeling.

When using the Merops facility, the whole complex will be yours, which means you won’t have to share with any other group, ensuring absolute privacy and security.

The splendid views and the lovely indigenous gardens create a unique ambience, setting the scene for a successful conference, product launch, wedding or any other special function.



Merops offers up market conference facilities to your specified requirements. The two conference rooms can be configured from 8 people in "boardroom" style to 120 in "cinema" style.
Residential as well as non-residential conferences can be accommodated.
Sessions can be held in many meeting points in the gardens.
Venues are equipped with state of the art technology.

Whether you wish a private intimate wedding for 30 guests, or a romantic reception for up to 120 guests, Merops welcomes and caters for all needs.
The beautiful stone venue with chandeliers and high thatched roof, creates a unique ambience for the most perfect romantic country wedding.
For something different, have your wedding in the indigenous garden, underneath the thatched lapa, next to the pool.
Accommodation for the bride and groom is included in the charge.
Additional rooms are also available for guests who would like to stay over for the night.
